Bubba's is a great chicken shack that serves up an awesome breakfast. Their biscuits are some of the best found in Texas. This place was once a 1927 service station, but was converted into a restaurant in 1981. For more information about Bubba's go to www.bubbascatering.org.
If you can get to Hillcrest in Dallas, then you can find Bubba's which is located on 6617 Hillcrest near the Methodist University. This place is opened seven days a week from 6:30 a.m. til 10 p.m.
Egg Breakfast Plate:
Egg breakfast plates come with eggs the way you want them and a choice of meats along with biscuits and sausage gravy. Look at that runny yolk. Mmmmmm good! My wife's son ordered this plate. Thanks Jose for stopping here when I shouted there's where I want to eat!
Pancake Plates:
Here is a pancake plate with bacon and scrambled eggs. Watch out for the butter slide! One of my grandsons ordered this plate.
Here is a pancake plate with sausage and eggs. I love pancakes and sausage. Look how the pancake just drapes over the plate. Another of my grandsons ordered this plate. I'll get that next time.
Buscuit Sandwiches:
Remember, I order last. Since no one ordered the biscuit sandwiches, I did. The one on the left was egg, bacon, and cheese. The one on the right was egg, sausage, and cheese. Great breakfasts if you're on the go, but next time I'll order a plate.
Bubba's doesn't use just any kind of butter ... its Plugra! This stuff is made with a higher butter fat than most American brands which means that it really tastes good! For more information on Plugra butter go to www.plugra.com.
Fried Chicken:
Since chicken is their speciality, I had to order one chicken strip to get a taste of how well they fry their poultry. And they fry it well. The flavor reminds me not of the chains but the way chicken was fried up in the 1950s. I was a kid again.
