Omelets are a specialty for the Downtown Grill in Corpus Christi. There are eight different omelets on the menu. And the cheese goes on top ... lots of it.
The Downtown Grill is located in downtown Corpus Christi on Water Street which is just a few blocks off the main coastal road, Ocean Street. This old style diner decor specialized in lunch for the downtown workers, but also hosts breakfasts as well, and is never crowded for breakfast. Though the menu is short, the fare is really good.
Steak & Eggs!
I grew up with pork for breakfast, so it wasn't until I was in college that the first steak and egg crossed my pallet. Yes, hash browns is a must for steak and eggs. Love the taste combo for scrambled eggs and toast.
Downtown Grill Omelet:
The Downtown Grill Omelet is the house specialty: sausage, mushrooms, onions, and cheese. This is a great combo of flavors. The Grill serves seven other types of omelets, but this is my favorite.
